Once you share your cycle information, Dermasync organizes your month into four phases — Reboot, Reset, Radiance, and Rescue — each tied to the hormonal shifts that affect your skin’s oil, sensitivity, hydration, and resilience. Your morning and evening routines adjust automatically as you move through each phase, layering in the right actives at the right time and easing off when your skin needs rest. It’s less a fixed regimen and more a routine that moves with you. We combine cycle-aware personalization with two other layers of customization: lifestyle factors you share (such as sleep, stress, diet, working out) and local weather and UV Index data.

Dermasync is intended for adult women who are at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and are located in a state where the Services are available. Services are not yet offered in Washington State. The app is not intended for children or anyone under 18. Women who have a cycle and share that data will get the most personalized routines and insights. But women who are pregnant, perimenopausal, or have irregular periods can also receive personalized routines and insights that just may be a little bit less precise because they don’t also include cycle data.

Not yet, and no. Dermasync is currently available only to women 18 and older who reside in the United States, in a state where we currently offer the Services. Services are not yet offered in Washington State. We hope to expand over time — for now, if you’re under 18 or outside the U.S., we’re not able to create an account for you.

Yes. The app is also supported by an AI layer that phrases routine and educational content from our decision tree and citations library in a friendly, helpful way that is easy to understand. No content is sourced from the internet or outside sources, just from our internal routine personalization framework and scientific library.

Yes. Our recommendation engine draws from a citations library of 43+ peer-reviewed studies covering menstrual cycle physiology, active ingredients, pigmentation, and more — reviewed and refined quarterly as new research emerges. Suggestions you receive come with a citation card, so you can see exactly which research it’s based on and explore the "why" for yourself.

Start by choosing a subscription plan. Your 14-day free trial begins when you subscribe through the Apple App Store. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you keep your subscription, the plan you selected will be charged on day 15 and will renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through your Apple account subscriptions settings. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

Dermasync is built privacy-first and uses data minimization, encryption, and member control as guiding principles. All individual health data (including menstrual cycle data, health history, symptoms, allergies, medications, birth control, or other sensitive health information) are encrypted at transmission and rest. Only a member holds the decryption key — on her phone. Photos are only held on the member’s personal device and never shared or seen by Dermasync. No individual identifiable health or personal data is shared with advertisers or sold.

They’re optional. Apple HealthKit lets you import cycle information automatically instead of entering it by hand, and Apple WeatherKit lets your routine adjust to your local weather. Both connections are one-way and voluntary — you can turn either on or off anytime in your Profile settings, and Dermasync never sends your information back to Apple. These connected services enabled cycle-aware and environment/weather-aware suggestions and insights, otherwise unavailable to you.

You can update information, export data, delete data, and manage communications, marketing, and analytics preferences in your account Profile settings. If you want to change Apple HealthKit permissions, you can do that in your phone’s Apple settings. If you want to change Apple WeatherKit synchronization, you can do that in the app under Profile settings and Connected Services. Note that personalization comes from cycle and weather data. Without them, your routines and insights are more generic.

No. Dermasync provides educational and informational wellness support only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical care, or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

No. Dermasync is not a healthcare provider, telehealth provider, doctor, dermatologist, esthetician, pharmacist, clinic, hospital, or medical device. Using Dermasync does not create a physician-patient, dermatologist-patient, esthetician-client, or other professional relationship.

Dermasync does not share any individual health data (including reproductive health data, menstrual cycle data, medication information, allergy information, symptom information, photographs, or other sensitive health information) with advertisers, does not use it to market third-party products or services, and does not sell any individual, identifiable personal or health data.

Dermasync is a cycle-aware skincare guidance platform. However, women who do not wish to enter or import menstrual cycle information can still use the app and receive basic features. If you do not provide cycle information, cycle-aware skincare personalization and related features will not be available, but general skincare education and basic routine guidance will still be provided.

If you provide or authorize menstrual cycle information, Dermasync uses it to offer cycle-aware skincare insights, routine suggestions, product suggestions, phase indicators, period and ovulation indicators, cycle history summaries, and related educational information. All menstrual phases are estimates and are intended for skincare routine guidance only.

Yes, you can still use Dermasync. Keep in mind that cycle-aware personalization works best with regular, predictable cycle information. If your cycle is irregular or affected by birth control, pregnancy, postpartum changes, or perimenopause, your phase indicators and routine suggestions may be less precise. You can always fall back on general skincare education and the essential routine categories, which stay available.

For privacy, Dermasync does not see or store uploaded journey photos and does not provide photograph analysis, facial analysis, image-based diagnosis, skin-feature assessment, or evaluation of uploaded images. All photos are only stored on a member’s personal device.

Dermasync lets you scan, enter, or select skincare products from a library of over 180,000 options to build a personalized Product Shelf. These can be products you already own or would like to add for use in your routines by the app.

Yes. Dermasync recommends safe skincare practices, including patch testing new products, reading ingredient labels, introducing one new active ingredient or product at a time where feasible, stopping use if irritation occurs, and seeking medical care for persistent or severe reactions. Sometimes manufacturers change ingredients, and this may happen on products you already own — so we recommend reading the ingredients again to see if anything has changed that may cause irritation or an allergic reaction.

Dermasync provides menstrual phase tracking based on the data inputs you provide or authorize. Dermasync’s cycle-related features are not a contraceptive tool, fertility diagnostic, pregnancy test, medical device, or clinical tool. You should not rely on Dermasync for contraception, fertility planning, pregnancy determination, reproductive-health decisions, or any medical decision.

We know it’s tempting, but no — each Dermasync account is meant for one person. Because your routines and insights are personalized to your unique cycle, skin, and inputs, sharing an account with someone else throws off the accuracy for both of you. We don’t support shared, family, or group accounts for this reason.

Dermasync subscriptions are currently purchased, renewed, managed, cancelled, and processed through the Apple App Store, where you downloaded the app. Dermasync does not collect, store, or process your payment-card number or Apple payment credentials. Read more on our Subscriptions page.

You must cancel through the same platform store used to purchase the subscription, currently the Apple App Store. Deleting the Dermasync app, deleting your account, contacting Dermasync Customer Care, uninstalling the app, or stopping use does not cancel a subscription purchased through a platform store.
